Smash the patriarchy!
Before Rahul Gandhi lectures women on patriarchy, perhaps he should look closer to home. What could be more patriarchal than a political dynasty where the son is repeatedly projected as the family heir, while his sister, Priyanka Vadra, was kept waiting for years before getting a substantive political role? If Rahul Gandhi truly believes in equality and agency, he should practise what he preaches.
Step aside. Let Priyanka Vadra take centre stage.
After nearly a century of electoral drubbings, surely the writing on the wall isn’t hard to read.
And while he figures that out, perhaps he should spare the confident young women of Pune the lectures. They don’t need Rahul Gandhi to teach them about agency. The record on women’s empowerment speaks louder than the rhetoric.
Under PM Shri Narendra Modi:
🏠 3.12 crore PMAY-G houses have been completed, with around 75% of beneficiaries being women.
💼 1,02,054 startups have at least one woman director/partner.
💰 More than 3.46 crore women are Lakhpati Didis, with the target now at 6 crore.
🤝 10.14 crore SHG members are part of 94.31 lakh SHGs, putting women at the centre of grassroots economic empowerment.
⚖️ The Triple Talaq law gave Muslim women legal protection.
🏛️ The Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam provides for 33% reservation for women in Parliament and State Assemblies.
And here’s a revealing measure of women’s political voice.
Across the 15th–17th Lok Sabhas, women’s seat share was almost identical in the BJP and Congress: 12.3% vs. 11.5%.
Yet BJP women had a Voice Ratio of 1.16, while Congress women had just 0.62. In other words, BJP women spoke 16% more than their seat share would suggest; Congress women spoke 38% less.
In the 17th Lok Sabha: BJP 1.16 | Congress 0.57.
And it was the Modi government that gave India its first full-time woman Defence Minister and first full-time woman Finance Minister: Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman.
Another pathbreaking facet: women’s entry into the Armed Forces has also expanded significantly under the Modi government, including through the NDA and Permanent Commission across multiple arms and services.
During #OperationSindoor in May 2025, an Indian Air Force female Flight Lieutenant flying a Su-30MKI was part of the strike package targeting the Lashkar-e-Taiba headquarters in Muridke. Multiple women officers also served as pilots and weapon system operators on Su-30MKI and Rafale jets during the 88-hour conflict.
These women have been smashing the patriarchy across the nation, in the skies and on the battlefield—long before Rahul Gandhi discovered the phrase “Pune Manjhe Pyar.”
So Rahul Gandhi, before shouting “Smash the patriarchy!”, perhaps smash your dynasty first. But that’s all you have, sadly. India’s women don’t need lectures. They need opportunity, ownership, representation and the freedom to lead.
That is New India’s Nari Shakti in action.
Who to follow
Has Rahul Gandhi ever read Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar?
If he has, perhaps he should explain whether his “Smash the Patriarchy” campaign is consistent with what Ambedkar actually wrote about the condition of Muslim women.
In Pakistan or the Partition of India, Ambedkar did not treat purdah merely as a matter of clothing. He described it as a system that segregated women from social life:
“That something more is the compulsory system of Purdah for Muslim women.”
He described its consequences in stark terms:
“She cannot go even to the mosque to pray and must wear burka (veil) whenever she has to go out. These burka women walking in the streets is one of the most hideous sights one can witness in India.”
He argued that the system damaged women’s development:
“Purdah deprives Muslim women of mental and moral nourishment.”
And:
“Purdah women in particular become helpless, timid, and unfit for any fight in life.”
Ambedkar also challenged the claim that segregation necessarily protected morality:
“Far from achieving the purpose, purdah has adversely affected the morals of Muslim men.”
And he identified the central obstacle to reform:
“Purdah has deeper roots among the Muslims than it has among the Hindus and can only be removed by facing the inevitable conflict between religious injunctions and social needs.”

So, Rahul Gandhi, have you actually read Ambedkar?
And if you have, do you believe his vision of breaking the social barriers that restrict women is compatible with your selective version of “Smash the Patriarchy”, one that lectures women of the majority community while treating restrictive practices among other communities as beyond criticism in the name of “choice”?
Ambedkar envisaged a society in which women could participate fully in social, intellectual and public life.
Will Rahul Gandhi have the courage to apply that principle to women of every faith?
Or will his “Smash the Patriarchy” campaign remain another exercise in selective feminism and vote-bank politics?
Ambedkar wanted an egalitarian India. Rahul Gandhi should read him before claiming to speak for women’s liberation.
Why does Rahul Ghandy target Manusmriti?
Simple! Manusmriti tells us about strengthening Family System to strengthen society. RaGa is attacking this very base.
Why? To create anarchy.
Broken Family System=Immoral Society
No commitment, No responsibilities, No Ethics, No Values, No character which means totally broken society... a perfect breeding ground for Anarchy. No Nationalist Sentiment, Only Selfish Goals.... and Communists can rise to power ONLY in SUCH anarchy.
And do I need to explain how CONgress is infiltrated with Communist "Divisive" mindset!
This's why, RaGa attacks Manusmriti. It's not about Hindu-hate, it's about breaking the bond of commitment & faith within different sections of society which is made up of different sets of families.

एक युवा महिला विधायक ने कांग्रेस छोड़ दी। महिला के पति भी कांग्रेस के विधायक थे। जब महिला ने कांग्रेस छोड़ दी तो उनके पति के सामने शर्त रखी गई कि अपनी पत्नी के चरित्र को कलंकित करने के लिए कुछ बयान दें या कुछ सोशल मीडिया पर लिखें। पत्नी का चरित्र हनन नहीं करेंगे तो टिकट नहीं मिलेगी। पति और पत्नी अलग हो चुके थे, लेकिन फिर भी पति ने पत्नी के चरित्र को कलंकित करने के इंकार कर दिया। और फिर उनकी टिकट काट दी गई।
अब पति, जो पत्नी से अलग हो चुका था फिर भी उसने पत्नी के चरित्र को कलंकित करने से मना कर दिया तो वो पितृसत्तात्मक मानसिकता से ग्रसित है, या वो जिसने टिकट देने के बदले महिला का चरित्र हनन करने की शर्त रखी ?

अगर राहुल गांधी स्कॉर्प दुपट्टा को गलत मानते हैं तो राहुल गांधी को उस मुस्लिम लड़की से कहना चाहिए था कि तुम यह सब बंधन क्यों पहनी हो उतार दो
