Prior to his resignation Monday, Army Secretary Dan Driscoll brought his concerns about the future of the Army under Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth directly to President Trump, during a closed-door meeting last week at the White House, four people familiar with the conversation told The Atlantic.

According to one of the sources, Trump was surprised when Driscoll told him how many generals and other top officers had been fired, pushed out, or passed over for promotion under Hegseth. Driscoll told the president that the Army could not transform itself the way it needs to, because of the departure of so many leaders, before informing him of his intention to resign from the Pentagon.

Driscoll’s spokesperson declined to comment, but a person familiar with his resignation stated that Driscoll had “brought up concerns with the administration surrounding Army transformation and readiness and Hegseth’s blocking those efforts specifically by firing the Generals who were responsible.”

Even Fox Business News just destroyed Trump's stupid tariffs on Canada.

I have a sad and genuinely infuriating story...

A little donkey named HeeHaw was sh0t and k*lled... by police... in the middle of the night... on his own family's farm.

His "crime"? He ran up to the officers braying, being a friendly donkey.

This happened in Polk County, Georgia, around 12:45 in the morning.

According to the family that owns Elsberry Riding and Farm, officers came onto their property, into the pasture, searching for a missing person. The family says they did it without permission.

And there was HeeHaw. A small, curious donkey doing what donkeys do. The family says he ran up to the officers braying to greet them.

The family says the officers tried to TASE him first and then one of them sh0t him, and he passed away.

A small donkey trotting up braying is not a threat.

You do not need a taser, and you SURE AS HELL don't need a bullet, for a friendly farm animal, any Southern person knows that.

To their credit, the department is not sweeping it away.

The Cedartown Police Chief launched an investigation and put the officer who fired on administrative leave. GOOD.

And the Sheriff's Office, which wasn't even involved, took the time to send condolences to the family.

HeeHaw wasn't a threat. He was a pet. And he trusted people right up until the end.

Rest easy, HeeHaw. 💔

Scott Bessent made $3.5 billion crashing the Japanese yen when he worked for George Soros and he just spent upwards of $10 billion of our tax dollars to prop it back up.

The yen hit a 40-year low, 162 to the dollar. The worst it has been since 1986.

Japan panicked and spent a record $96.4 billion trying to prop up their own currency. That did not work, so Japan started selling US Treasuries. They dumped $29.6 billion in the first quarter of 2026 in the largest quarterly sale since 2022.

Why does that matter?

Japan holds $1.24 trillion in US government debt. They are our largest foreign creditor. When Japan sells our bonds, US borrowing costs go up, yields spike, and the housing market, deficit, and entire federal budget gets more expensive.

And that is a problem for Bessent because his whole buyback scheme depends on keeping yields down. He just doubled buybacks to $4 billion per operation and he is sitting on a $950 billion war chest in the Treasury General Account.

If Japan keeps dumping Treasuries, it blows up his entire operation.

So what did he do?

He used the Exchange Stabilization Fund, i.e. our tax dollars, to buy upwards of $10 billion in yen in the first coordinated US-Japan yen intervention since 1998.

Senator Warren asked some pretty obvious questions.
How much was spent?
What was the legal basis?
What is the current value of the position?

Instead of answering, Bessent attacked her personally, saying she knows less about foreign exchange than she does about banking. He answered nothing.

So, in the 1990s, he attacked the yen for Soros and made $3.5 billion.

In 2026, the yen is at a 40-year low, and Japan is selling our bonds to survive. But that move threatens his buyback operation, so he is spending our tax dollars to prop up the currency he crashed.

And when Congress asked for basic details, he insulted the senator and refused to answer.

This is not normal behavior. Treasury Secretaries do not personally attack members of Congress for asking how public money was spent. They do not refuse to disclose the size of currency interventions.

Something is different and it is not good.

Here is why you should care:

If the buyback scheme works, the dollar keeps weakening. Americans' groceries, gas, rent cost more, our savings lose purchasing power.

The dollar is already down 8.8% since January 2025.

If it fails and Japan keeps dumping Treasuries, yields will spike. Your mortgage rate is directly tied to the 10-year Treasury yield he is trying to suppress, so that will go up. Car loans will go up. The deficit will balloon.

Either way, he is sitting on a $950 billion federal cash reserve and signaling he will drain it to fund more buybacks.

That is the government's emergency money. If there is a recession, a bank run, a real crisis, the cupboard is bare because he spent it manipulating the bond market. Do you see the problem?

And there is zero transparency of public money.

Here is what to watch our for:

(1) November 4 is the Treasury's quarterly refunding announcement. Bloomberg reports Wall Street is already war-gaming a major shift in borrowing strategy. If Bessent starts issuing more short-term debt to fund long-term buybacks, that is the Treasury Twist and an escalation.

(2) Watch the TGA balance. If it starts dropping from $950 billion, he is draining the war chest.

(3) Watch Japan's Treasury holdings. If they keep selling past the $29.6 billion pace, the yen intervention failed and he needs a bigger play.

(4) And watch for more currency interventions. The yen was the first. If he starts propping up other currencies to keep foreign governments from dumping our bonds, the pattern is set and it's not a good one.

A currency speculator is running America's Treasury, manipulating the bond market, spending our tax dollars on currency interventions, draining emergency reserves, and refusing to tell our elected representatives how much any of it costs.

This should not be allowed. If someone was shooting in my donkey pasture at night, and I had no clue who they were, I would be out there armed and ready to deal with dangerous trespassers. And if grown men are too scared of baby donkeys to control themselves, they probably shouldn’t be cops. 😡

Work is continuing nonstop in the village of Myla in the Kyiv region to address the aftermath of the Russian strike. First responders have managed to extinguish most of the fires. Explosive ordnance disposal units of the State Emergency Service are also working at the site around the clock, detecting and neutralizing explosive hazards. The scale of contamination in the area is significant, and this work will continue for as long as necessary. Tragically, 38 people have been reported killed by the strike and the subsequent detonation. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Twenty people were injured, including two children. Four people are reported missing. The search for them continues. I am grateful to all the services that remain there with our people and continue to help.

These days, there have also been many air raid alerts in Kyiv and other regions because of Russian jet-powered drones. Unfortunately, some of them have struck ordinary residential buildings and civilian infrastructure. Providing greater protection against this Russian terror is a priority. In total, this week alone, the Russians have launched nearly 2,000 strike drones, more than 1,600 aerial bombs, and 31 missiles of various types, including North Korean ballistic missiles, against our people. Strikes on frontline and border communities are virtually constant – Nikopol, Kramatorsk, Kherson, and communities in the Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Donetsk, and Sumy regions. We are seeking just responses to every Russian strike and crime. They will certainly come. Thank you to everyone who is helping strengthen Ukraine’s air defense and our protection.
