@Trish_Crain Gifted education in Alabama is put on the back burner when it comes to funding from legislators. Companies complain when they can’t seem to find people with leadership and skills at management levels. What’s wrong with this picture? Contact your Alabama legislators!

Birmingham City Schools offer consultative services to our gifted students along with the AP/IB classes. I agree more needs to be done in secondary schools for our gifted students. Consultative services in organization, study skills, and social emotional needs.
@gajenx @Trish_Crain We also research deep space, perform archaeological digs, create house plans and build it, build Lego Spike Essential robotics kits and code them to move, look at timelines and how everyday items have changed over the last 100 years, see how tech can be good, bad, and ugly, etc.

@Trish_Crain Well our best and brightest students are leaving the state in droves due to little support. Ask Mercedes Benz executives who had to go back to Germany b/c they couldn’t find people w/ qualifications needed! Hence support gifted education by funding it-zero raise in budget this yr
