Just as an observation, 1930s Germany was all about rhetoric, ideology, othering, removal of rights, intimidation, propaganda and finger pointing which focused on minorities/disabled/religion/sexual orientation etc.
War itself (1939) and the horror that followed (Wannsee / Holocaust 1942 etc) came later.
The Tories and their client journalists throwing hissy fits about comparisons between their divisive language and policies and 1930s Germany obviously haven’t done their homework.
Comparing Tory policy to the Holocaust itself is incorrect, nobody has, it’s about preventing future Holocausts from ever happening, that’s why we say Never Again, and if the language you’re using is reminiscent to language used in the decade prior to the Holocaust, then it’s a moral duty to call it out.
Imagine if more ordinary German people had spoken out, had considered what direction things were heading in and made a stand, what horrors might have been prevented.
The Tories ARE pursuing policies that are reminiscent of 1930s Germany, just look around you at the hatred and division, and take a stand.
