The slaughter of city folk and soldiers who surrendered was unnecessary and less interesting. The writers are really pushing for Tyrion to become the “Queenslayer”.

@DeanLiggett I’ve posted some comments on BGG, but the short answer is that each player should be playing to promote their own officer first, while collectively ensuring the ship doesn’t completely fail.

@DonaldAShults @MothLands Another technique I used from the same campaign was actual history. Took a region, its places, people, and events from the previous 100 years, and instantly had a springboard for the kind of details you are looking for.

@MothLands @DonaldAShults I used The Quiet Year as the results for one of my group’s astrology/scrying attempt. We proceeded to seed the local map with a bunch of sites and events that might come to pass, which let the party then engage in what they were most interested in.
