@MadelineBuxton@Refinery29@alexeheath “Lubetich was writing about her time at Snap in particular, but she could have been referring to any number of tech companies, where women — especially women of color — in technical roles are still a minority, and the boy's club stereotype exists for a reason.”

so pleased that my dream starter finally appeared on @OffMenuOfficial and by none other than @ZaltzCricket (ok technically I prefer pani puri but still)
wrote about the things you could do to combat the 7 stages of grief for @TheStranger, skipping ahead to the one I got emotional over https://t.co/gi6q25YgA6
I have always respected and valued @richsssmith's work and was beyond honored to more recently call him a colleague (might've fangirled a little bit [internally]). You and your wit will be sorely missed, Rich. ❤️
After nine years of working at The Stranger 12 hrs a day six days a week, they let me go. I would die for my staff and my colleagues. I’m willing to do slightly less for other employers, but I’m open to work.
Hey! Remember us? We are STILL bargaining for our first contract. Today, management will present their response to our initial proposal. Show us some love and remind @bradywalkinshaw that our readers stand with workers and hope he will too!
We did it! Noisy Union won raises of at least 20 percent and a new wage floor of $70k. Bringing everyone up to $70k means a $15k raise for some of our members!
Noisy Creek bought us, promised more resources, but refused an interim agreement to raise unit wages. Now they want to hire a new reporter for more than they pay current staff. If the company can't afford to pay workers a wage we can thrive on, we can't afford new reporters.
10 years ago, business & labor groups in Seattle agreed to a groundbreaking minimum wage with a long phase-in for small businesses. Now, lobbyists are trying to go back on the deal. Tell City Council HANDS OFF our min wage: https://t.co/oxoTcb5mVo
Index Media has officially recognized our union!
Our members showed serious solidarity over the last two week as we negotiated for our bargaining unit.
After several pointed emails, we came to an agreement with management.
