1. (THREAD) So, it seems like the deplatforming debate is once again kicking off, so I thought I would introduce some of the earlier work that was done in this area back when ISIS was buck wild on social media. What have we learned over the last six years might be useful today:
“The responsibility for Trump’s push to overturn an election must be shared by a very large number of Republican members of Congress.” https://t.co/vy5Viytllv
BREAKING: My office is supporting federal law enforcement efforts to investigate NCians who participated in the raid on the U.S. Capitol. If you have any information about a NCian who participated in this lawless insurrection, please email [email protected] .
It's time for news organizations to cover Trump's current moves as an effort to steal the election. No more euphemisms. That's what they're doing. And no, the fact that it is not going to work doesn't give you an escape clause from describing it clearly and accurately.
Nice article on the problems that come with being an identitarian, especially regarding antisemitism. While I think there is some room for the push for more equity, the author makes clear the awful consequences of going to extremes. https://t.co/ds6NFTGREp
A masterpiece from @bariweiss. In future anthologies of articles on the Great Awokening, this will always be near the front. Learn here about The Elect's takeover, assuming they are bringing Good News and happy to make people cry while doing it. https://t.co/C0fcsbJWnH
"The ideal subject of totalitarian rule is not the convinced Nazi or the convinced Communist, but people for whom the distinction between fact and fiction and the distinction between true and false no longer exist."
— Hannah Arendt
