The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has a terrific infographic on the dangers of fireworks. 47 percent of all injuries (est. 9,100 in 2018) from fireworks were to the hands, fingers and eyes. Be safe!

Drive through restaurants are open as are some drive through national wildlife refuges, food for the spirit for sure. This is a blue heron spotted at the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge on the southwestern shores of Lake Erie.
