I have been tracking all of the Truth Social Posts by Donald Trump and the Tweets and statements by President Joe Biden for the last 30 days. While President Biden talks about record job growth and an Infrastructure bill that is rebuilding America while providing billions of new investment all across the country. Donald Trump has not mentioned one single thing he would do for America. Nothing except a promise to weaponize the DOJ to go after the Biden‘s and everyone who Trump thinks may have wronged him. Biden touts Bidenomics that has rescued America. Trump talks about how Jack Smith is a “mad dog crack head lunatic” Biden has tweeted about making America a better country with great high paying jobs. Trump talks about his poll numbers and how the 2020 election was rigged. The difference is striking. Joe Biden is looking to the future. Trump is complaining about the past. President Biden is making a great future possible for millions of America. Trump promises to ”suspend” the Constitution in order to allow his revenge on America to take place.Never once in 30 days did Trump mention what he would do to make America better. Instead his campaign is all about him. “To Hell with America and Americans. Just elect Trump so he can get his revenge” Is what Donald Trump promises. The difference is striking. BREAKING: Rep. Alexandria-Ocasio Cortez rips into the corrupt Republican-controlled Supreme Court by airing their dirty laundry after they rule to strike down President Biden's life-changing student debt relief program.

The progressive icon pointed out that Justice Samuel Alito "accepted tens of thousands of dollars in lavish vacation gifts from a billionaire who lobbied to cancel the student loan forgiveness" meaning that he was quite literally bribed to hand down deranged far-right rulings.

"This SCOTUS’ corruption undercuts its own legitimacy by putting its rulings up for sale," said AOC, perfectly nailing the problem and explaining why so many Americans no longer view the court as legitimate.

AOC could have kept going and mentioned the bribery Clarence Thomas has been taking from Republican billionaire Harlan Crowe, Neil Gorsuch's corrupt property deals, or the fact that Brett Kavanaugh had between $60,000 and $200,000 in credit card debt that mysteriously disappeared right before he joined the court.

There is no denying it. The Supreme Court is bought and paid for by powerful rich Republicans and unless something is done we are going to end up living in a dystopian right-wing nightmare.

The United States is falling apart, because of the actions of Donald Trump.

He was able to appoint three Justices to the nine-person US Supreme Court during his Presidency, and those judges (in addition to the three Conservative Justices already there) now have a voting block of six, to three who are more progressive.

The Justices appointed by Trump (Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett) have now gone rogue, implementing federal decisions most people (including many Conservatives) would agree are intolerable.

Last year, they overturned Roe vs. Wade, which has caused untold suffering to American women seeking healthcare. The stories coming out recently of women who’ve died or faced immense and unconscionable harm (including criminal sanctions) because of this decision alone is heartbreaking.

And just in the last couple of days they’ve cancelled affirmative action laws for universities (meaning they’re no longer required to save places for or otherwise assist black students), AND made it legal for businesses to discriminate against LGBTIQA+ people on religious or other bigoted grounds.

(And if you think those two decisions appear utterly opposite morally, you’re not fucking wrong: one makes it illegal to reduce discrimination on the basis of oppression, and the other makes it legal to increase discrimination on the basis of oppression. Go fucking figure.)

They’ve also refused to validate Joe Biden’s proposal to reduce or cancel student debt in the US, as a way to assist people struggling from the #COVID19 pandemic.

All this, amid an atmosphere of corruption, deception, hubris and even criminal behaviour which surrounds at least three of the Justices now on the Supreme Court FOR LIFE.

Even as devastated Americans of all kinds blame different people and occurrences for this real-time collapse in democracy, we’re 100% clear on who’s to blame.

Rupert Murdoch.

Donald Trump would never have been elected if not for Murdoch and his Fox News misogyny and lies. So those three SCOTUS Justices would’ve been appointed by Hillary Clinton.

Imagine how different a place the USA would be right now if that had occurred.

All roads lead back to Murdoch. He’s been besties with Trump for years, first because they were both involved in execrable television then later because Trump was a useful tool to help Murdoch run the US the way he wanted.

And although Trump didn’t succeed in stealing the Presidency again in 2020 he did steal the Supreme Court, which has huge power and control over American lives. ESPECIALLY the lives of Americans who are already under-privileged and hurting.

It’s a little similar here in Australia (although not so bleeding obvious). Many of our most powerful institutions are still controlled by Conservative appointees, and they’re still damaging us all in ways too numerous to count. Some are being dismantled or changed by the Albanese government but this kind of change is slow and sometimes difficult.

This is part of (but admittedly, not all of) the reason why repairing a lot of what’s wrong in Australia is happening too fucking slowly.

And once again, the culprit for all is Rupert Murdoch.

We have to fight back harder.

BREAKING: NPR drops bombshell, reveals that it’s quitting Twitter permanently over Twitter owner Elon Musk’s “exceptionally harmful” and “dangerous” decision to shamelessly and inaccurately label NPR as “government-funded media.”

In a scathing press release, NPR accuses Musk of “undermining” its “credibility” by “falsely implying that we are not editorially independent.”

Here is NPR’s full statement:

“We are not putting our journalism on platforms that have demonstrated an interest in undermining our credibility and the public’s understanding of our editorial independence. Actions by Twitter or other social media companies to tarnish the independence of any public media institution are exceptionally harmful and set a dangerous precedent.”

Not surprisingly, Twitter and Musk did not return requests for comment on NPR’s announcement from NBC News.
