I am the head of the defence committee in Denmark and I would like to offer a few facts:

The US already has a defence agreement with Denmark that allows the US to have military bases in Greenland. You already have the Thule Air base in Northern Greenland where you have radars that can detect incoming ICBMs.

In the past, the US had more bases in Greenland. In recent decades you have chosen to close them but if you think that you now need a bigger military presence you have always been welcome.

Thus, there is absolutely no need to acquire Greenland in order to protect the US from ICBM's or anything else. You are banging aggresively on a door that is already open.

You have to understand that it is totally out of the question that the US will acquire Greenland. No threats of any kind will change that position.

Denmark has done abolutely nothing to the US except being a very, very loyal ally for the past 80 years and we expect you to respect your allies, international law and borders. There is so much at stake for the world if you do not.
