@gumsays only way to get around this is periodization....this season (could be weeks, months, years) you focus on X, next season you focus on Y. you can also do 2 or maybee 3 things simultaneously if different enough for daily balance (work, sport, family, art etc)
๐จ REVEALED: In Data Set 8 of the Epstein files release, which was briefly posted on the Justice Department's website today, there is a letter alleging to be sent from Jeffrey Epstein to convicted sex offender Larry Nassar.
The letter, which is postmarked just days after Epstein died, reads:
"Dear L. N.
As you know by now, I have taken the "short route" home. Good luck! We shared one thing . . . our love & caring for young ladies at the hope they'd reach their full potential.
Our president shares our love of young, nubile girls. When a young beauty walked by he loved to "grab snatch," whereas we ended up snatching grub in the mess halls of the system.
Life is unfair.
Yours
J. Epsteinโ
The letter was returned to sender.
Reporting indicates that Epstein sent a letter to Nassar from prison before his suicide. The contents of that letter were never revealed.
Additional documents show that the letter was submitted for handwriting analysis, though it is unclear if investigators reached a conclusion on whether or not this was definitively written by Epstein.

@NyanpasuKA@scaling01 There is so much nonfiction out there that shouldโve been a blogpost but instead the author bloats out 300pages of slop to make $
@Austen@0x_slutdragon in 1963 most families had a stay at home mom so no childcare costs. housing, healthcare, education all much cheaper as costs there have way outpaced inflation. you can disagree w his numbers, but the point is that the poverty line today should not be based solely on food costs.
@Austen@0x_slutdragon that's Mike's point, the poverty line definition is outdated. created in 1963 when avg family spent 1/3 income on food. hence poverty line = 3x basic food budget adj for inflation. avg family today spends 5-10% income on food but other costs (childcare, healthcare etc) way higher
@dwarkesh_sp I feel that most 18 year old kids would be better off taking a gap year rather than going straight into college, especially for those undecided on what they want to study.
