USC President Kim asked me for my thoughts about Charlie Kirk at USC’s Democracy Day celebration.
There’s something more important than my message in this video. It’s what you don’t hear. No heckling. No disrespect. No shouting.
I know that social media shows us the worst of humanity, and a few people celebrating a death will get more attention than hundreds of respectful people.
Don’t let these companies and the rage influencers that profit from them convince you the worst of us are the most of us. They are a tiny minority that gets too much attention because anger makes you post, repost, and like.
This was an audience of almost 500 students, and zero disrespect. That’s how most of the real world outside of the internet is. If you find yourself falling for the anger, go out in the real world and make yourself human again.
@MichaeLoveridge@TMobile Not sure if you already found this out, but if you go to the "About Watch" panel and tap on the Software Version area a number of times (5 seems to be the right number) it will open a panel with a few options, one of which is the "Reset Device" option.
@ring Well that worked like a champ, thanks! Further, I switched back to timeline mode to compare the volume of the outgoing audio at the doorbell, and it is much louder now. maybe a glitch in the system that resolved by toggling the setting? all good now though!
@ring Android. I've had the problem since the timeline came out, originally switched back to list mode to fix it, then switched to timeline to easily go through my old captures. I guess I waited too long to switch back to list, and couldn't talk to someone today.
@ring I also have no option to disable, just a "got it" button. The timeline makes my audio out too quiet for people to hear, a bug that was never fixed...The audio worked fine when it was in List mode.

@GoogleARVR Measure tool is goddamn witchcraft. Used it to measure the footprint of my house yesterday, had 4" total discrepancy when drafted together. Awesome practical use of AR.
@united Yeah, but you guys use a weird interface that doesn't allow for the T-Mobile login. The other major carriers don't do this, they just have the regular gogo login page, and the T-Mobile login works great.
@SamsungMobileUS and while we're on the subject, it'd be really great if Bixby could just automate things, like I shouldn't have to tell it "Good night" to activate night mode if I'm home and it's night-time. It should just do it.
