I ventured over to Niton this evening and visited St Catherine's Oratory, (The Pepperpot).

The views out over to Compton and Freshwater Bay as the sun was setting were quite majestic.

The Pepperpot is quite atmospheric at the best of times, but this evening it was even better.

Whilst on the final part of my walk up on St Martin’s Down, I managed to capture the sunsetting across the Island.

The images of the Ordnance Survey trigonometrical pillar, or trig pillar makes for an interesting scene as the sun sets.

Enjoy your weekend. 😀

An interesting walk up to Luccombe Down from St Blasius via Luccombe Village this evening. The cloud cover was quite ominous at times and the drop of temperature at the top of St Martin’s Down was surprising. How quickly the seasons change is quite remarkable. 🍁 🍂

A little blustery jaunt out to the Bembridge Coast this afternoon.
I love Autumnal days like these when the clouds are fast moving and bright. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

How can this be? Is this how natural Chines are created? This part of Yaverland Cliff fell many years ago. Since then, the shrubs, Broom and trees have made way to create this new access route to the beach. Nature is amazing!

Picnic spots with a view 🤩

One of life’s simple pleasures, the picnic has been a Great British summer pastime for centuries. Whether you are a pro with a cool box, a traditionalist with a wicker basket or a ‘chuck it all in a bag’ type of picnicker, our island can deliver on amazing locations and even tastier local produce.🧺
