@sweetenuke@muixyui People don't educate themselves on the military anymore because of the net negatives. It's ignorant. Many many many are groomed into the system to support their family or kid. It's not "killing brown people" they think they're enlisting in. Miseducation on all sides.
Shawn Levy would love to see a 'Backrooms' and 'Star Wars' crossover
"I can’t help but be captivated by a ‘Backrooms’ and ‘Star Wars’ mashup ... luckily, I’ve got a little involvement in both, so I’ll see what I can do"

None of you are self-aware. You are howling narcissists. This woman starts this video off by listing her personality type, attachment style, horoscope, as if borrowed categories add up to a self. You think about yourselves too much and have mistaken it for introspection.
Once you no longer romanticize the intellectualization of your dysfunctions, you can quickly get over this type of stuff, but you'll have to relinquish that part of your ego that says your self-analysis actually makes you smart or interesting. A tall order for a lot of y'all.
@taylortherod I find it not one or the other. Too many people use it. If you look for garbage, you'll find garbage. I'm in a few active communities with great people. I've only seen mostly leftist cultures on there in 10 years. Twitter is by FAR worse.
You might disagree that Backrooms (2026) is about the fleeting and unreliable nature of memory. All I have to do to prove my point, though, is point out that the film uses an excerpt from fucking EVERYWHERE AT THE END OF TIME during a pivotal scene.
i feel bad for assuming backrooms was dumber than it was, there's a lot of subtext i missed because i couldn't imagine it being with such depth. i already loved it but its marinating so well. i need to rewatch expecting the proper film that it is.
