@rustybrick@MKBHD there is a mirror you can attach to your phone with .. look for niceyrig - you use a tripod thingie and connect the mirror so you can see the selfie side of your phone. I've used that in the past (I now use a DJI Osmo Pocket 3) but the little mirror worked well.
@jonoalderson We need to go back to w3c markup validation for html (as a youngish dev back in the day I was so proud to display that badge of validation for both html & css) and as a result we also added in a11y and we didn't do speed tests. Our sites were just solid and lightweight.

@lilyraynyc@GlennFaden my dad was a C programmer and dba - I fought his constant desire to have me pick up DOS - "eeww dad but I want to be an aaaactressss!" He passed away 20 years ago but he got to see me deep into Open Source and development and he's definitely been an influence even up in heaven.
@Marie_Haynes that has been the most frustrating thing for me creating images in ChatGPT - addition of mispelled or just downright gibberish on perfectly good images! Love the "remove these words"!
@notcapnamerica my mom is the opposite heh - she can tell you everything about the actor/actress including how many times they were married who they were married too - who their kids are and what movies they were in (while the movie is on). Almost put the woman on some trivia show :D
@suganthan we do have cps and this is nearly ACK 40 years ago - she did lose custody of her son not long after. Didn't mean for this to be a saga but when you mentioned people are still sending their kids to school sick it triggered this memory. Saddens me we are still having this convo.
@suganthan He was ok but just the betrayal of lying to me about his health - I only kept him cause I loved the little guy but gah. Don't lie to your caretakers please, whether teacher or childcare provider. We care about your kids too. I'm in tech now but will never forget that ever.
@suganthan ..and she was a friend. I had taken care of her son when he was a newborn preemie with medical issues. He was almost 2 yo at this point. Will never forget her feigned surprise he had a fever. Found out she had given him baby aspirin prior to dropping him off.🙄
@rustybrick my birthday is tomorrow.. born in 1964 - I was within a few hours of being a leap year baby..would have turned 15 today :D (happy for your extra billable day!)
@dawnieando I remember when you went last time! Looking forward to hearing about what you learn. I learned so much with your last presentation on this.. Enjoy!
@darth_na https://t.co/cCxdQnC4F1 <-- mix of jazz and rock :) I was in a jazz choir in high school in the 80's. My daughter waited for me to be able to go with her. My 60th bday on Friday this week.. so she is coming to see me from Nevada (to az) and we are gonna plan our weekend!
