The girl pauses to (attempt to) tie her hair back, if only to keep it from getting in the way.

She grins back, clapping her tiny hands together, ears wiggling beneath long, white locks.

"There's something sentimental about this, isn't there? The thought of a passing year, and the arrival of a new one."
