@tkulogo @marcogroenhof If it's an active snowstorm, I would not bike or drive, as conditions would be unsafe for either. I'm non clinical at a hospital, the last thing they need is me in the ED because I chose to drive or bike in inclement conditions. But if the plows go through, I go through.

I bike 3 miles to work, my spouse bikes 6 (each way). Neither of us are rich by American standards. And neither of us spent used Honda Accord money on a bike.

@tkulogo @marcogroenhof We ride in pretty much all conditions. Base layers and rain gear go a long way to making it work if it's cold or rainy. Living where I do, we get a bit of everything except sandstorms.

Tonight's fancy Friday dinner was a bit of an audible; my chicken didn't thaw in enough time to air chill. So, I made French Onion Pasta. Not super elaborate but I think it's still reasonably fancy!

@svenllama I caramelized 4 onions in oil and butter, added 1/2 cup of white wine, s&p to taste, thyme and bay leaf, a pound of rigatoni and enough veggie broth to cover. Cook until just before al dente, reduce and add 1/4-1/2 of heavy cream (optional). Cover with cheese and broil.
