We are happy to have our Founder/CEO @Emily_Efeti honour the invitation of @FESKamerun to be part of the launching ceremony of Pieces of Peace; a Compendium of Key Documents of the National Women’s Convention for Peace in #Cameroon 🇨🇲. It is worth noting that this Compendium published by #Cameroonian #WomenPeacebuilders @CamerounPeace is more than a collection of texts but is a testament to the relentless efforts, courage, and unwavering commitment of Cameroon women to build peace in a nation besieged by the Anglophone War, beleaguered by the Boko Haram-linked crises and battered by the community violence and spill-over effects of instability in the #CentralAfricanRepublic. We salute the efforts of all Cameroonian Women Peacebuilders especially the contributors of this great Compendium 👏 👏👏
Empowering Women & Girls in Peacebuilding!
In line with the National Action Plan for Peace Building and in partnership with #MINPROFF, UN Cameroon is supporting a 3 days training of 40 women and girls in peace-building processes in 🇨🇲 according to the #cooperationframework.
Today, we successfully wrapped up our 3-day capacity building workshop for girls & women in peace building. The ceremony was presided by H.E. Marie-Thérèse Abena of MINPROFF alongside head of agencies. Let’s continue to support & empower women leaders in #peacebuilding process.
It’s #PeaceDay everyday with us at #SNWOT!
We believe that stakeholders engagement in the ongoing process of our production and forthcoming publication of a Women’s Peacebuilding Manual to support grassroots women’s peace efforts is primordial. #SNWOT4Peace@swisspeace@CanadaFP
