The only instance where I think a nuke would be used is if a regime is facing a foreign ground invasion and thinks it will likely lose against the invaders. Otherwise, it is very unlikely that it would be used.

The enrichment/nuke discussion doesn't make sense to me. Couldn't Iran just get a nuke from NK, China, Pakistan, or Russia? Who would know its provenance?

Also, the deterrent effect of nukes is questionable to me. According to BRICS X, Iran has been decimating Israel, a nuclear power, with missiles and Israel has yet to respond with nukes. So what are the nukes deterring? More missiles?
