@MSFC__ 😂 how does last season’s Nedbank Cup final have to do with this season? And if it’s based on PSL stats, what is the relevance of the stats in other competitions…🤔

Like I be in studio hearing people make a beat that I can get exactly from the internet. Still making the same trap beats you were making from 2 years ago. As much as you can hear the growth of an artist on a song. I feel like you can hear the same for a producer on a beat.
How would 'Mama I'm Sorry' by Brenda Fassie sound sampled on a drill beat or Zahara's 'Loliwe' on a NBA Youngboy/Lil Durk/Rod Wave type beat. Like how many people are in America already sampling Celine Dion before I count those that are doing it globally too?
All those songs have charted Billboard Top 10 in the past year or so. And I don't understand how african producers(most specifically South African producers) are not catching on. I come from the hub of hip hop producers in Tzaneen but I've yet to hear people experiment.
The fact that Chris Brown can post a South African girl who is singing, who he berely can hear what she is saying, says a lot. Future & Drake took Tems, sampled her. Gunna charting with what I hear as a Sho Madjozi sample(The credits are said to be different though).
I feel like South African Hip Hop is where it is merely cause of the producers and a lack experimenting in their production. For example, you go on tiktok everyday you find a wonderful video of a south african girl singing and you don't see an opportunity in that(sample that).
