@marcvanderchijs I'm Singaporean and I agree. I mean (and I assume that you might be thinking along the same lines), the ultra-rich are so mobile that they might move to a lower tax jurisdiction.
@oriental_ghost@oriental_ghost , does Zhongcai group have foreign ownership? I mean, I can't understand why anyone in China would be taking such a huge short contract for silver at this time. It's not logical unless there are foreign agents wishing to manipulate prices in China.
@ArmstrongEcon Thanks for your many excellent articles that have enlightened me on what's truly going on in the world. With respect to Bitcoin originating from China, could you point me to where I can information on this?
@Barchart, the chart that you present above wasn’t made by Samuel Benner. Specifically, it is based on a pamphlet that George Tritch had made in 1872. I couldn’t find any information on whether Tritch had copied the ideas of Benner, but if you would check Benner’s book on Internet Archive, you would note that he (Benner) did not make any predictions beyond the 1890s.
I have an old copy of the Wall Street Journal that was published on Black Monday (October 19, 1987). What many people may not recall is that there was a stock market plunge on Friday 16 October, and it is very reminiscent of what happened over the previous 24 hours. #StockMarket #stockmarketcrash #stock #investing #Finance
