@suphoebro@Shibazz32@Mochi_Gorl yeah
he chose a screenshot to work off of that had better framing for what he wanted to draw. you can see its the same pose, just from a different angle and he chose an angle that would look better. don't critique something you have no clue about while pretending you do
@suphoebro@Shibazz32@Mochi_Gorl "i am not a part of the digital art community"
thats all you had to say for me to know you have no idea what you're on about. i am an artist and I have experienced firsthand that references help improvement, in fact referencing is encouraged in animation.
@SageJitsu@Mochi_Gorl thats the thing: we don't know how much time that they can dedicate to art over those years. work, school, other responsibilites could be hindering the improvement. this is why the time taken to improve is not a valid criticism. because it isn't a criticism of the art itself.
@SageJitsu@Mochi_Gorl it is INCREDIBLY disingenuous to say it "should" be better just because other people may improve faster. art is a skill that takes time to build and for some it may absolutely take 6 years.
@SageJitsu@Mochi_Gorl who cares if there isn't that much improvement over 6 years? people improve at different paces, and thats okay. they clearly enjoy drawing, and its awesome that they are confident enough to post it.
