#USCanadaOnTrial: UPDATE #6 - The U.S. Government is Blocking the Use of Classified Information Outlining U.S. Relations with JOH & the Narco-State.

The trial of former Honduran President, Juan Orlando Hernández is now delayed until February 20th pending on-going discussions about the use of classified information. A classified hearing today, Fri. February 16th is scheduled to determine how classified material will be used in trial. Read all about it here:

The Public Prosecutor’s office has charged a military coronel, Victor Alonzo Ponce on five counts of homicide for ordering 172 Military Police under his command to shoot protesters in the Lopez Arellano neighbourhood during the 2017 electoral crisis protests outside of San Pedro Sula, #Honduras. 5 people were killed & the military police tried to cover up the evidence.

#JOHtrial: Although there are reports that the trial date has changed, jury selection may begin tomorrow & classified information hearings in the days following that. It’s hard to know at this point, what will happen until the judge rules.

#JOHtrial date has officially been moved to February 20th pending any changes.

There is a classified hearing on Feb. 14th that will discuss the disclosure/protection of classified documents during the trial. It seems like JOH’s attorney seeks to introduce classified material which means the discussions regarding classified material could lead to further trial delays. But it’s hard to know.

After on Feb 15th. there is a case status hearing to discuss where the case timeline is at.
