@Filthystrips_@PadreFanDan Miller isn't as much as a "buy" as he is acquiring an elite, controllable reliever.
It's just not in the M's MO to acquire a player like him for the amount proposed here.
I could see a pkg of Hancock + a couple really good prospects. Like Hancock + Farmelo + Arroyo + Peters.
@FIRESTEVENSOUZA Oh wow... we're really this stupid.
A pitcher with a sub-3 ERA and 4 years of control, a top 10 prospect in the game, and another top 100 prospect for a rental reliever, and rental bat, and a 34 year old reliever with a player option.
YOU'RE AN IDIOT.
@JesiahWaldner@CodyPirkl The only way the Twins get Kirby is for Buxton. Twins don't have much of anything the M's need.
There's not a package the Twins could offer for Woo unless it's Buxton+ that would compel the Mariners to move him.
"I'd like to see Woo in a Twins uniform." Wow... good for you.
@RobbieRob23_@AvgMarinersFan_ Nobody cares how "important" a player is to a lineup. Bottom line is he makes a lot of $$ and only has 3 months left of control. A player's "importance" does not increase his trade value to another team.
@anonamurs2@byoungblood27 Red Sox fans will then turn around and tell you Marcelo Mayer is the next coming of Jesus Christ and off the table in any trades for Neto.
Aside from Yankee and Mets fans... probably the most delulu bunch when it comes to trade proposals.
@PuckSports@JimDuquetteGM Wtf does "talk of major league baseball" mean? Why is it whenever a star like Kirby is discussed we're not hearing that the M's are going to get some God tier return? If him moving is the talk of major league baseball, I better see a massive return.
@thejagepage@BenRanieri10 Oh give me a break.
Schmitt been some hot ass for the last 50 games. He had 2 good months and now we're going to offload the most valuable thing in baseball for him? Young, controlled starters?
I wish M's Twitter didn't have so many bad fan accounts.
@uwcommentor I doubt he's getting firm no's. He's 2 weeks out from the deadline and teams haven't gotten desperate yet and the M's aren't willing to eat a considerable amount of cash/attach a prospect yet to move him as of yet.
Plenty of time for that to change.
@CLew2620@TbSeattle Castillo isn't the player you should be trading to get impact back. You move him to free up money and the rotation.
Go get a lefty specialist like Spencer Steer for prospects.
Why lessen a massive strength if it's not going to be for the same return?
