Bethuna we are in the Constituanal Democracy everthing must be done according to the constitution,ANC is guided by the constitution it cannot deviate from it .ANC did not do the Lekota family a favour it is there in the constitution
It worries me that the ANC sometimes sets unnecessary precedents it may struggle to apply fairly across the board. The stance taken regarding the now late Ntatโ Mosiuoa Lekota raises an obvious question: will the same treatment be extended to those who have now left the ANC to form or align themselves with the MK Party? If not, then one has to ask why the late COPE President Lekota is treated differently. That kind of inconsistency is exactly what has, over time, weakened the movement and contributed to the political situation we now find ourselves in as a movement. Decisions that are driven more by emotion than by political clarity, principle, morality and maturity tend to create unnecessary political complications. If the movement is to maintain credibility, its decisions must be consistent, fair and guided by clear values rather than selective responses to particular individuals or moments. #ANC114 ๐ค ๐ ๐

Thabo Mbeki was already negotiating with the enemy with the blessing of OR and the leadership of the ANC yena kuqala ukuya e exile and was never in a the top six until the 1997 conference and he wants to equate himself with Mbeki hayi maan
Mathews Phosa (b. 1952) was involved in the Black Consciousness Movement, the UDF and the ANC, before going into exile in 1985 and becoming an Umkhonto weSizwe commander in Mozambique. He returned to South Africa in 1990 to help prepare the way for negotiations.
He was Premier of Mpumalanga (1994-1999), and was elected as a member of the National Executive Committee of the ANC in 1999. In 2001 Phosa, Cyril Ramaphosa and Tokyo Sexwale, were investigated in connection with an alleged plot to oust President Thabo Mbeki. They were cleared. During the 2007 National Conference of the ANC held in Polokwane, where Jacob Zuma was elected as President of the ANC, Phosa became Treasurer-General. He ran for President of the ANC in 2017 but lost to Cyril Ramaphosa.
