Last month, Edmonton saw 416% more precipitation than our 30-year average — making it the sixth snowiest December on record.
And yes, we’re all feeling it.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve heard from many Edmontonians — by phone, in person, and here on social media — about snow clearing and staying safe on our roads.
I want you to know that the City of Edmonton takes safety seriously. I’ve been in regular contact with the City Manager and continue to receive updates on snow removal during this exceptionally snowy period.
I would like to thank Edmontonians who have been doing their part, I know this has been challenging, especially over the holiday period. I’d also like to thank our snow team who have been working 24/7 to help keep us moving.
