Let's see how people defend this one. No slurs. No insults. I want to know what part of making medicine more expensive for the world at large does in benefiting anyone that isn't in the 1%

Took a philosophy class that covered assisted dying. One guy wanted to die because he couldn't afford his disability equipment so his life was shit and he had no independence. Apparently "why don't they just give him the equipment instead of killing him" was the wrong answer?????
the whole neighborhood shut down, bartenders and servers in the area will receive no tips all night, regular ticket holders wait in line for hours just so the pedo president and his little hitler can walk right into a game the players don’t even want them at
And it’s crazy because when a woman is under a lot of stress or malnutritioned her periods become irregular or nonexistent. Regular periods are literally a sign of a healthy lifestyle
Julia Louis-Dreyfus won the Lead Actress in a Comedy Emmy for six consecutive seasons of Veep, then lost on the seventh. If Jean Smart wins for the final season of Hacks, she will become the first actress in the category's history to sweep every season of her own show.
Smart is four-for-four on Hacks so far. She won for Season 1 in 2021. Season 2 in 2022. Season 3 in 2024. Season 4 in 2025. The 2023 Emmys were the only year Hacks did not compete, because the writers strike delayed Season 3 by a year.
Louis-Dreyfus had a similar streak going on Veep. She won for Seasons 1 through 6. Then Phoebe Waller-Bridge won at the 2019 ceremony for Fleabag, taking the prize for Veep's seventh and final season. Louis-Dreyfus did not win for the season the show ended on.
What I keep coming back to is what makes the Hacks run unusual. Smart had been working in professional television since 1986. She had won three Emmys before Hacks, all in guest or supporting categories. She did not win Lead Actress in a Comedy Series until age 70.
A fifth win would also tie her with Louis-Dreyfus and Cloris Leachman at eight total acting Emmys, which is the all-time record across all categories.
She has the chance, on the final season of a show that arrived in her seventies, to do something no actress has managed in the category's seven-decade history.
“I didn’t want to say this” is qualifying language someone uses when they’re making a point they prepared to make ahead of time and they know they’re being deceptive.
When someone does this, the statement means the opposite of what they intended all along.
He DID want to say this, because it was planned.
Otherwise, why would he NOT WANT to say it?
It strikes me as worrying that:
1) Iran talks fall apart again
2) Trump is looking for a reason to re-engage
3) He called Americans home from Pakistan including the advance team
4) He attends the correspondence dinner *for the first time*
5) Immediately there is an alleged shots fired incident with a dead shooter.
If this develops into a claim that the shooter had *anything* to do with Iran, I’d be deeply skeptical and concerned that this is a false flag.
