@CMerandi Yeah please shout out all your associates who are opioid free so folks can make an informed choice about surgeons. Pts can suffer and do when they don’t have to just because haughty folks’ opinions . All the procedures you mention line the pockets from desparate pts. Disgusting
@ibdgirl76 While I refuse to use them, part of the problem is state AGs who have sued them. AGs, DEA, PROPsters , etc have all espoused BS stats to the public and given a narrative that causes these folks to judge patients.
@DanLairdMD Living with chronic pain for 8 yrs and ready to die, I get why a person might become angry at a CEO
Who gets off on denials of coverage. No one should ever take another life. Just because you have issues, doesn’t mean you escape consequences for behavior but I understand
@Katamac1967 In 2005 I attended a rehab program where I was told there were no long-term studies for opioids but that they caused brain fog and constipation. They had given my life back. Every week they badgered me until I told them I didn’t give a sh$& because they helped me.
@ibdgirl76 Yes! Nothing is connected to patient care/outcomes. Just paper pride based on BS opinions. I get it. Hate deaths from addiction but the 2 are separate. I think of Dancesw/wolves when amputating w/o meds. Here we are again
@lugnut8617 I agree. But how do you change a narrative that zealots so carefully crafted and spread on the negativity of meds for pain? You know if you are in recovery that you lied and stole to get whatever you needed to get high. Most think no opioids is best. I’d want to end my life
@lugnut8617 Because addiction zealots caused the damage to pain TX. All who use opioids are addicts. NO Addicts do illegal acts to get drugs to get high. No debate. If you question, you are blocked. The profs are insulated from questions. They use the pain of those who have lost loved ones.
@lugnut8617@ibdgirl76 Addiction is not the case for all who need pain TX yet anyone who gets Meds is a threat to addicts. 2different issues. Addict zealots need to stay out of medicine. Fight for TX but quit demonizing those who suffer from pain. I had 2 kids w/o drugs. Not even close to chronic pain
@lugnut8617@ibdgirl76 To suggest we take our fight private when we are demonized, is not a fair and just ask. These folks overstep and blame for their losses. Responsibility and consequences for actions in addiction has been lost. They make choices and there are far more TX resources these days.
@lugnut8617@ibdgirl76 The addiction zealots are sad folks who have lost loved ones. It’s tragic. Yet, there are other sides to this. These folks cause people in pain to suffer. They cause innocents to go t jail on false narratives. Stay in your addiction lane & let docs, pts, and pharms do their jobs
@ibdgirl76 And lying to get RX. But rather than hold them accountable for their behavior let’s demonize those who are following the rules for medical purposes. Let’s change the narrative and make everyone else responsible for addicts’ disease. Shameful for all of you take part
@ibdgirl76 It’s a red herring. You can’t fight facts that people in pain are being harmed. Period. And much of that harm comes from addiction zealots. Not everyone who uses opioids is an addict. Addicts want to get high and do illegal acts to achieve that. Including stealing RX.
@ibdgirl76 The same practice with the Kolodnists who write papers and give opinions then use them as “evidence” for evidence-based medicine. I can’t believe what passes for “research/evidence.
@Katamac1967 They got rich off testifying, seminars, promoting bup while demonizing pain pts. They don’t givra&$ as$ who suffers as long as they have fame/fortune. They used folks who loved ones died to further their mission. It’s shameful. No debate/they are insulated. Fentanyl is not RX
@Katamac1967 You are not wrong. It’s also related to the narrative purported by Kolodny and his band of experts who professed all who use opioids are addicts. Further, suboxone etc.. should be the go to drug.
@KPRC2 Yes! Why are we holding docs accountable for the misdeeds of abusers? Because the abusers have an illness? This BS has gone on far too long and taken bad roads. Lawyers are getting rich from deep pockets and people with pain are demonized. Something rotten here.
