@RICHARDLNEWBY 💯% so much interesting stuff going on in the first two acts! A ton of soul and spirit brought by Norton, Roth, and Tyler. Add Hurt as a bonus and a fun score w/ solid direction and it really cooks.
@RennerMallory @k_millzy My first cat acted like this. It's relatively normal. Keeping them separated while the original cat gets used to the new cat's scent goes a long way. It takes a bit of time. Especially if the first cat has been solo for a while.
@feedthecath@bluefataIe @fionappledylan They were carefree because they were much younger and barely knew each other? Spending your first day (and then a couple more hours years later) with someone you're fascinated by is a very different experience than being with someone for years. Would be so false if not.
@mrwollZERO@Lons No, he was in Deadpool (2016) & Office Christmas Party two+ years later and was a major part of the marketing pushes. It's just how the character was written. Heck, he's in Deadpool 2 (2018) and won't be in any more because the allegations started flowing in 2017/2018.
@BeyondThePoster Tbh we used to just have bangers like this all the time! I know steaming is super convenient, but I feel bad the folks who won't know the experience of great physical media presentations! It was an event to pop in this stuff and see this kinda effort.
@mangiotto @sophiahelix Never be ashamed of checking things out! Never too late. And like Walter said, it should only make the rest of us who already appreciate it happy for you. I definitely am! Makes my heart sing thinking about folks watching this for the first time. 💞
@BeyondThePoster It's nothing to get mad over, but I do think they are accidentally training audiences to just wait for at home. The shorter the window the easier it is to skip paying for it right away. Mario didn't leave much money on the table tho, we're talking less than 1% of gross probs. 🤷
@BeyondThePoster I agree this is also the norm, but also it's still weird for a lot of folks that 2 months has become standard for even the biggest blockbusters. 3 months was WILDLY shorter than the norm back in late 2008/early 2009. Often big hits would wait longer if it was still in theaters.
@EricVespe It's pretty simple. Many lower third models and lower expectations to try and avoid movies looking like failures. At a time when people forget how massive things can still be nobody in the industry wants to write bad box office news about major releases. So they lowball early.
Galyn Susman was the individual who saved ‘TOY STORY 2’ by having a copy of the film at home after someone accidentally ran a command that deleted 90% of the film from Pixar’s files.
Today, she has been laid off from Pixar.
@BeyondThePoster @metaplexmovies Titanic is PG-13. So not exactly the same. Titanic also has sweeping romantic tragedy, which Hollywood has always known has breakout potential. A bunch of people talking as the main marketing hook *and* being R-rated is a rare thing with a budget at this level. For any era!
@Swordfish978 It is more cinematic in its ambitions, but again that works here. It accomplished a lot of story without showing too much. This couldn't feel less like a (for example) GoT situation to me. This season - especially the back half - is partially so powerful bc of these choices.
@Swordfish978 I actually think the pacing is really great for what it is. Unlike some shows the time jumps serve the tone so well. I love that this is seemingly the only modern show that didn't feel the need to supersize its episodes to accomplish its story. It's really well done.
