@KristinRaworth Looks like the people of Carleton saved the @CPC_HQ from making a tough decision. I mean they wouldn't want an unelected opposition leader after all the fuss they made about Carney.
2025 6’7 W John Ikpotokin has officially committed to St.Bonaventure University. @j9hnikpotokin9
Big commitment for the @RNS_Hoops product, with plenty of build up leading to this signing…
I remember telling @wojespn to check him out back in February as he drove through a Canadian winter snowstorm to watch an @NPACanada game in Fort Erie, Ontario. Since then, they were among the first and longest programs to recruit John with serious interest.
Coach Schmidt’s strong track record of development & John’s high ceiling makes for a perfect fit. They’re in it for the long game.
One of the best Prospects in Canada is now off the board. @NphScouting
2025 6’7 W/F John Ikpotokin of @RNS_Hoops will be on an official visit at St.Bonaventure next week
One of the best available & highest upside Prospects coming out of 🇨🇦 with elite athleticism & defensive tools
@BonniesMBB have been all in on Canada with recent commitments from Frank Mitchell & Brayden Jackson thru the portal. Looking for their next Andrew Nicholson.

Trump claims DOGE found $8M in wasted spending to "make mice transgender."
It was actually $8M for transgenic mice—used to study gene function or generate models to help cure genetic disease in humans
Just 1 of Trump's many lies I debunk in my fact check

“As long as they’re passing.”
From a candid conversation with my seniors yesterday about what their expectations of their own children will be if/when they have kids.
If parents indeed have power, then this will be (already is) a force to reckon with.
And we’re to blame.
As we’ve made grades matter, generations of students have come to know grades don’t (really) matter (that most of school doesn’t really matter).
And so, why would they expect much more from their kids?
And that is why we need to change education by making learning matter, not grading.
So, then our future parents’ standard is, “As long as they’re learning.”
Changing the narrative from what they expect FROM their kids (grading) to what they expect FOR their kids (learning).
It’s not too late to twist the plot.
The saga is not over.
“As long as they’re learning.”
We can do better.
