Yes, in the 88th the Senate extracted $ for TEA instead of the classroom w/138 new FTEs & a fleet of cars.
A $75/student increase is pitiful when they need $1100 to deal w/inflation & $4000/student to reach natl average.

No. TX didn’t support students w/special needs. No other program in education is more underfunded in TX than Special Education. TEA says Special Education deficit is $2.3 Billion each year. It’s irresponsible to divert $ to private schools when we don’t fund our public schools.
