@dreameranvils I think it's because most of fandom identifies more with Maekar than Baelor, and fans tend to make the one they identify with the omega. Maekar is direct and open with his emotions, but Baelor's feelings and actions are a lot more ambiguous.

@comicscurated Same. I've seen people complaining about Myriah being characterized as a bad mother, but I think it's inevitable that both Myriah and Daeron were bad parents by modern standards, to Baelor and his siblings.

@timetopractice1 I'm dubious about Ira Parker because of the changes in the show (more about Dunk than Maekar). S1 was great, but I'm not so confident about how the later seasons are going to be. Just assuming the smaller scale means the fall-off can't be as bad as in Game of Thrones.
