Will be supporting the #twitterboycott over the next 48 hours, in support of antiracism and antisemitism.
Some scheduled tweets were already set for the @phdforum writing group reminders and they will continue.
Will be back on Wednesday.
In solidarity!

Writing is hard work, you're co-constructing new knowledge, interrogating its meaning and devising ways to explain your thinking to others. It's vulnerable but vital work and you don't have to be alone while you do it. 👇🏽👇🏿👇🏾
Sometimes I struggle with qualitative research terminology. Terms mean slightly different things based on discipline, stage of the research, or what I'm reading and I find a little inaccessible at times.
Anyone else feel the same?

I didn’t even have to think for a few seconds before signing this letter in support of @TRSChester.
Their lockdown sessions for teachers & students were pivotal in me finding my inner RE geek and falling in love with my subject all over again. They have served @TeamRE_UK well.

NEW EVENT!! PhDForum members talk: Qualitative methods. 18th March 4pm UK time
In this session, a panel of three PhDForum members will share their own stories of using qualitative methods followed by an opportunity for open discussion. DM @HelmeRachel for joining details.
If you would be interested in chairing and/or organising a panel or being an attendee, do get in touch. The shape this takes will be coproduced as we make sense of it, but space for supported conversations should always be welcomed and facilitated.
Call for roundtable contributors from @Donna_Peach you might be researching policy or one of the services currently under threat, you might be in receipt or subjected to services which you have views about. A series of panel discussions would help contribute to the conversation.
Who can you share this petition with? We need to defend the integrity of children’s social care and push for a radical overhaul that actually focuses up social justice. https://t.co/4iW7E6BFZK
No time to lose! Sign and share this petition of no confidence in this ‘independent’ review of children’s social care! Those with care experience need to LEAD, the chair needs to actually be independent. https://t.co/JCKjbvfFHv
'This article suggests that the hope of Critical Pedagogy is resistance to the dehumanization in progress. It concludes that Critical educators are fighting a war for the future of humanity.'

"There's a lot of hurt out there and much of it is socially constructed"
"We have a duty to speak out or the people who should be at the very heart of the process may find themselves crushed by it"
An important, useful & thoughtful contribution 👇🙏
DM Hi. I have a PhD student who has just moved to the UK from Iran. She feels a bit lonely and also struggles with her English. I was wondering if there is anyone who would be happy to pair with her for speaking skills and communication.
