Alcohol related swimming deaths are common I agree. But a reasonable friend would not return home or leave a drunk friend on an island without a way home. A reasonable friend would have called the police, his parents and stayed on the scene. I go to these activities often and seen people take others back to mainland or call someone to come get them.

That is what making this weird and odd. They left and didn’t notify anyone until later.

Those stats are based on a controlled study of just asking a certain number of people. That doesn’t represent a majority of a population. Nothing has been released on his swimming skill level so he could have been apart of the 30% who can swim.

Two it can be a drowning or murder, both can occur in similar situations and has occurred before.

The hype around it can be from both side racism. Same as blacks wanting justice on it and whites pushing it off as a oh well moment. Anyone who lose a kid in a manner like this will not take drowning as an answer.
