Congrats to Billy Bowerman on sticking it out for 500 miles to come home 9th with a beat up car. I believe that’s 2 top 10s in a row. Tough break for the rest of the team as they would find trouble throughout the race. Learned a lot though and we will come back stronger next time
The #fake500 is tomorrow. So we had to get the fine folks at Jack Mehoff racing engines to build us the best motors money good buy for the team this week. Crew chief Holden Toodix said he’s never seen anything like them. https://t.co/1n3tDez1gf
Last but certainly not least is the man everyone knows. We call him gramps but he acts 22. Billy Bowerman will start 26th making his 2nd start in the #fake500. Look for Billy to be one of those guys that just shows up at the end of a race up front.
Our 3rd driver in the #fake500 is a rookie Clint Stone. Clint is our asphalt guy on the team and gave us that extra little bit we needed to get the speed we had in qualifying. A tough pill draw will have him starting 7th on the grid but look for Clint to be there at the end.
@TStreet4star is our next paint release for the #fake500. Same design new color got the job done as street went from not making the field last year to holding the #1 spot for almost 2 hours. Street will row off 2nd this Saturday.
So far we are sitting 2nd,3rd,6th and 19th for the #fake500. Tried for a front row lockout but couldn’t get it. Bowerman got bad temps but he’s still top 33.
The Sofa King Fast team ran some final practice last night. All 4 drivers topped the board. We are feeling good going into pole day. Action starts at 1est with @TStreet4star the first car to hit the track. Elbows up tv on YouTube to watch live. #fake500
It's #fake500 time and Billy Brickley will be in action tonight with the same old paint from last year with just a few tweaks. The Sofa King Special car had plenty of speed last year. Brickley said if it ain't broke don't fix it. Look for all the other teams new paints this week.
@SprintCarcast I still think it comes down to who is paying iRacing the most. Dirt just doesn’t seem to be on the radar for anything but a track a year
