Started reading this around the time I binged Midnight Mass on Netflix & I was half expecting one of Monsignor Pruitt’s “Angels” to show up…but Marie would probably not have any of that bs in her abbey lol

Matrix didn’t live up to the hype for me. I knew little to nothing about Marie de France & 12th century abbeys, so I was fascinated when I started reading. I just didn’t feel much of a connection to the characters & felt like it dragged. It was v well written though..
