10 times out of 10, I will recommend all sophomore women to apply for BOLD. Easily one of the greatest opportunites of my entire undergraduate career.
BOLD is the reason I was able to create UCCO and make it thrive AND conduct independent research for my honors thesis! APPLY.

Beyond the rah rah of tonight’s moment, here’s the reality: Puerto Ricans living on the island will not vote for Joe Biden or Donald Trump in November because, as a territory, they can not vote for president in a general election, but they are subject to the presidents decisions.
Friend breakups (I mean good, longterm, very close and intimate friendships) are, in my experience, much more emotionally devastating than romantic breakups. And yet, unlike romantic relationships, we have almost no socialization (even in media images) on how to navigate them.
As you watch, in real time, the ongoing failure of the Puerto Rican govt to effectively administer primary elections, remember that the party in power recently passed an election reform law. Career people with a lot of experience were fired.
Today, it’s amateur hour.
2,977 people died on 9/11. So far 152,000+ people have died from Covid-19 in the US. That’s as if 9/11 happened every day for 51 days straight.
No other country has lost as many lives as the U.S. Our leadership is failing us.
This is a Puerto Rico national guardsman rescuing a young boy during flash flooding caused by the tropical event that passed over the island. This is emergency work in a pandemic. If he can wear a mask wading through flood water, we all can. Consistently
Close to 500,000 customers in Puerto Rico without power on the eve of a tropical storm hitting the island and so far no tweets from the governor or public statements about what happened. We are still waiting to get an explanation from the puerto rico electric power authority.
COVID19 is spiking in PR & flights are $11 , the non elected governor & her staff are under investigation for corruption charges, the police shuts down the only access to the airport to prevent a protest to shut down the airport, & a hurricane coming Friday. Did I miss something?
