The 5th Foundational Learning Symposium was both a celebration of recent gains in literacy outcomes and an escalation of calls for a remedial programme to leave no child behind. I was pleased to share learning from @Camb_Ed work supporting a systems approach to remedial scale up.
Today I’m at a @bookdash book sprint. Cape Town creative volunteers will make children’s books from start to finish in 12 hours. By 9pm tonight, 12 new print-ready, openly licensed books will be be in the world, ready for versioning into other African languages.
While presenting foundational learning achievements since the last workshop in November 2021, Hon.@GTwagirayezu said that there is an ongoing development of Rwanda’s National Strategy for Accelerated Foundational Learning which will guide key players for effective implementation.
