@nephew_jonathan @oli_0331 @sawadalama w doesn't show up in Italian, so it would make sense… and there's a common shift from w to g in romance languages, the sounds are not that different
something you can look into is the other use for g in Italian, like in lasagna, the g is not pronounced, but changes the n → ñ

I think I'll give up on Duolingo… I can't keep the same language for a long time, I feel the need to switch between languages to not get bored and for other languages there are better resources out there. Goodbye, streak.

Personally, I hate papaya, but the texture is really nice, so I get it. I like the diversity, but the lack of consistency irritates me a bit. It's something I'd generally eat, but would prefer something else

@GabyLVasques_ não? depende, a escrita tem que ser muito boa pra eu gostar da experiência de ler em si, mas eu gosto muito de *ter lido*, de carregar a experiência da leitura, e livros que te agregam mais geralmente são mais difíceis de serem lindos e dá um alívio terminar logo certas partes 😅

I might just be reading too much into it and they just don't feel confident enough to write in a foreign language, who knows…

I often hear people say how the dutch will switch to English at the first opportunity, so much so that it makes practice harder.
On this app, though… on my post complaining about the time telling system, there are quite a few dutch people commenting and replying to others +

And it was not only on my post, I very often see the dutch around here comment in dutch regardless of the original post's language, which makes me wonder if these people actually don't speak English or+
