He called his shot! And backed it up.
Said he wanted one of the hardest world records on the books, that's stood for 27 years.

What a performance! Incredible.
It’s two medals for @scotathletics athletes in the women’s 800m at BUCS Championships. Sofia Vidak (Stirling University)wins Gold in 2:04.76 with Katie Johnson taking Bronze in 2:09.83.
Wow impressive gun to tape gold from @sofiavidak at BUCS. 2:04 pb and more to come. Well done Norrie Hay and great to see GSOS graduates kicking on and inspiring current students. @scotathletics
One key differentiator for elite performers:
They don't see it as a sacrifice.
They don't see long practice hours, going to bed early, skipping out on the parties or whatever as a sacrifiice.
They like and live it. They enjoy the dedication. Instead of seeing it as missing out
You're tired and feel off.
The antidote is rest and recover, right?
Not always.
Is it fatigue? Or flatness?
Knowing the difference is the difference between staying stuck and breaking through.
One needs rest. The other needs stimulation.
Let’s break it down.
