A man used to give a beggar $1,000 every month. He continued doing so for quite some time,
One day, he gave the beggar $750 instead,
The beggar was surprised, but he thought, “$750 is still better than nothing,” and walked away,
The following month, the man gave him only $500. This time, the beggar couldn't hold back his curiosity........
I honestly pray you never have to watch a close family member battle Cancer.
That thing drains every financial resource you have. It eats into your savings and finances. Things you've spent years building can unravel in a matter of weeks.
It's a disease that tests families emotionally and financially.
To everyone fighting cancer, and to every family standing beside a loved one in that fight, my heart is with you.
An elderly couple stopped at a roadside restaurant for lunch during a long road trip.
About 45 minutes after they left, the wife suddenly gasped.
"My glasses!"
She had left them on the table.
They had already driven so far that it took another 20 minutes just to find a place to turn around.
The husband wasn't happy.
For the entire drive back, he complained nonstop….
Three weeks ago, I won the lottery. It wasn’t the biggest prize in the country or an absurd amount of money, but it was enough to buy a house, pay off my debts, and live with a little peace of mind. The funny thing is that, since the news came out, relatives who had been completely unaware of me for years have suddenly reappeared. I even joked that the dog we had when I was a little girl was the only one who would ask me how I was doing.
What hurts me the most is that the people who called me today, saying they had always loved me, are the same ones who disappeared when I needed them the most. When I was 17, I got a small tattoo on my arm and a nose piercing. I was a rebellious teenager, yes, but I was never a bad daughter…
A wealthy businessman I know never had children. Not because he didn’t want them. He and his wife spent almost fifteen years trying. They travelled abroad for treatment, underwent multiple IVF cycles, saw specialists and spent a fortune chasing the hope of hearing a child call them Mum and Dad. Nothing worked.
Eventually, they adopted a six-month-old baby boy.
They never hid it from him. From the day he was old enough to understand, they told him he was adopted. His father would always tell him, “You didn’t grow under your mother’s heart. You grew inside ours.”
That boy never knew another home. His father taught him how to ride a bicycle, attended every school event, celebrated every birthday and paid for the best education money could buy. By the time he graduated from university, he had already started learning the family business. Everyone knew him as the businessman’s only child.
The businessman wasn’t just comfortable. He was one of the richest men in the state. He owned shopping plazas, several filling stations, a transport company with dozens of trucks, warehouses, farmland, luxury houses and investments people could only guess at. His estate was worth billions.
Then one morning, everything changed.
He suffered a massive heart attack at home and died before reaching the hospital.
His funeral brought together politicians, traditional rulers, business partners and hundreds of employees. Throughout the burial, everyone referred to the young man as “his son.” Nobody questioned it. Nobody even mentioned adoption.
The problem started three weeks later.
The family gathered at the late businessman’s mansion to discuss his estate since he hadn’t left a will.
After the opening prayers, his eldest brother, a man the entire family feared and respected, slowly stood up.
He looked around the room before fixing his eyes on the young man.
“Before we discuss any property,” he said calmly, “let’s remember one important thing.”
“That boy is not our blood.”
So I just remember I am turning 33 next month and something in my mind is telling me “what if you’re going to die same age as your mom?you have 4 years remaining”
Whether it’s today, before I reach her age of after many years i pray I die when Allah is most pleased with me
Allah yasa mu cika da Imani 🙏🏾

I’ve had Retinitis Pigmentosa since I was 8. It was slowly taking my sight. I built a life around it — audiobooks, magnifying apps, routines — and had a job, a degree, and my dad’s old green Camaro in the garage. But people only saw my condition, not me. Either they didn’t understand, or they pitied me. That was worse.
