I accidentally sent a wedding invitation to the wrong person, and three days later, he showed up at my door.
I had never met him before.
He stood there holding the invitation.
“Is this yours?”
I looked at the name.
It was definitely the invitation I’d meant to send to my cousin.
“Oh my God, I’m so sorry. I must have saved the wrong number.”
He smiled.
“No worries. But I have a question.”
“What?”
“Why does the invitation say my name as the groom?”
I froze.
I took the invitation from his hand and looked again.
My name was printed underneath his.
Then I noticed something else.
The date was next Saturday.
I laughed because I thought it had to be some elaborate prank.
Then my mother called.
“Did you finally meet him?”
I looked at the man standing in front of me.
“Meet who?”
There was a long silence.
Your income buys you options. Your savings buy you time. Your investing buys you leverage. Your consistency buys you the result.
That’s the whole game.
Used to be embarrassed to admit this but… I’m 30 & I’ve never been in a real serious relationship.
At this point if love showed up I’d probably stare at it like… So, what now?😂
