having someone who wants to listen, remains respectful when things get difficult, and cares more about understanding than being right is something i don’t take lightly.

i’m currently in a phase where i really value uncomfortable conversations, and i’m glad i get to experience that with him.

we do have awkward slash difficult conversations sometimes, but they never feel like the kind of conversation you have to be afraid of.

i think that’s also why uncomfortable conversations have started to mean something different to me (i used to avoid uncomfortable conversations, obviously).

anyone can be sweet when everything is easy. what matters is what remains when things are not.
