I have been thinking for some time about whether I should speak on this topic, and I have decided that I cannot remain silent.

What I am about to say is not only about Afra. It is about a pattern that has become increasingly common across social media and entertainment spaces, and one that I believe deserves to be challenged.

Over the past months, I have seen countless discussions about Afra’s private life. People talk about her relationships, her family, her friendships, her past, and even aspects of her personal life that she has never publicly addressed herself. What concerns me is not whether these opinions are positive or negative. What concerns me is that, in most cases, they are based on assumptions.

The truth is simple: none of us know another person’s private life unless that person chooses to share it.

A photograph is not confirmation. A public appearance is not confirmation. A rumor repeated thousands of times is still a rumor.

The same applies to past relationships and to the people who are currently being linked to her. Far too often, I see people speaking with certainty about how a relationship ended, who was responsible, or what may be happening today between certain individuals. The reality is that only those who lived those experiences know the truth.

And before anyone asks why I did not speak about a specific person in the past, or why I am not speaking about another person who is currently being associated with her, I want to make one thing clear: my position has always been the same.

This is not about a particular relationship, nor is it about defending one person against another. I have never believed that it is appropriate to speculate about someone’s private life, regardless of who that person is.

Because at the end of the day, everyone involved is human.
