In today’s fast-changing world, startups are redefining how business is done, with technology serving as the key driving force behind new ideas, innovative solutions and emerging opportunities.
Kenya’s growing technology ecosystem continues to open new frontiers in software development and export with local developers now contributing solutions to regional and global markets.
Principal Secretary for Trade, Regina Ombam, highlighted the transformative role of technology and innovation in entrepreneurship and economic development at the Kenya Software and AI Summit held today at Moi University in Eldoret.
She emphasized that Kenya's youthful population and rapidly growing digital economy position the country as a hub for innovation in the region.
PS Ombam stressed the importance of young innovators and entrepreneurs acquiring relevant digital skills, building strong brands and strategically entering markets to maximize opportunities.

On Day 3 of the Kenya Software and AI Summit 2025, another key milestone was achieved as Moi University signed an MoU with the Murang’a County Government.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Kiplagat Kotut, Acting VC of Moi University, @ Dr. @HonKangata Governor of Murang’a County.
💡Mr. Johny Falla from Equity Foundation shared insights on their initiatives to upskill over 600,000 youth, with a focus on women and vulnerable communities.

At the #KenyaSoftwareSummit2025, a key session brought together investors, accelerators, and DFIs to explore how Kenya can strengthen its software ecosystem and empower startups for sustainable growth.
💡 Mr. Allan Rop, Cube, emphasized the importance of creating locally made products and fostering strong public–private partnerships.
