SafeAlert is gradually evolving from a simple idea into a fully functional emergency assistance mobile app built with React Native and Expo.
Every day I learn something new, fix bugs, and improve the product.

๐ Day 2 of Building SafeAlert
Todayโs focus was turning SafeAlert from a simple UI into a functional emergency response app.
โ Emergency Contact Storage
โ Medical Information Storage
โ AsyncStorage Data Persistence
โ Live GPS Location Tracking
โ Google Maps Integration
โ SOS Countdown System
โ WhatsApp Emergency Alert Messaging
โ Reset & Cancel SOS Functionality
The app can now retrieve a userโs real-time location and generate an emergency message containing medical information and a clickable Google Maps link.
Todayโs progress:
โ Set up React Native environment
โ Connected live preview to MyPhone
โ Built first SafeAlert Home Screen
โ Designed SOS emergency interface
Every day Iโll share my progress publicly until the app is completed.

๐ Day 1 of building SafeAlert
Today I started building a mobile Emergency SOS App using React Native and Expo.
The goal is simple:
๐ Create an emergency SOS app that can help people during dangerous situations by providing quick access to emergency contacts.
@m13v_ Thatโs a great point. The loud bugs definitely taught me a lot during this challenge. My next focus will be improving testing and catching more of the silent production issues before users find them. Thanks again for all the insights throughout the 30 days.
๐ Day 30/30 โ @gdgoc_hui#BuildSprint1.0 #30daysChallenge Completedโ
30 days ago, I committed to building and shipping a real-world healthcare appointment system.
Today, Iโm excited to share that SmartClinic is officially LIVE. ๐
๐ Live Demo:

@m13v_ Thanks Matt. That was probably the biggest lesson from the challenge. Building the features was 1 thing, but deployment, auth issues, mobile responsiveness debugging Render taught me how much work happens after the code is written. Appreciate all the feedback throughout the days.
@m13v_@Mindlarz Yes thatโs the problem with free deployment but since itโs just a challenge I think some should have 30s patience to reload๐
So what do you think so far about the project???
This project helped me improve my Laravel development workflow, deployment process, database management, and confidence in building complete web applications.
Special thanks to everyone who followed the journey, gave feedback, and encouraged me throughout the challenge.
With only one day remaining in the BuildSprint challenge, the focus is now on final testing, documentation, screenshots, and deployment preparation.

๐Day 29/30 @gdgoc_hui
Today I completed one of the most important parts of SmartClinic:
Security, Roles & Final Testing Complete
โ Admin-only staff registration
โ Role-based access control
โ Doctor permissions
โ Nurse permissions
โ Front Desk permissions
โ Billing workflow testing
โ Appointment workflow testing
โ Department routing verification
โ Homepage UI refinements
โ Mobile responsiveness review
SmartClinic is now operating more like a real clinic workflow system rather than just an appointment booking application.
