When Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi died in a helicopter crash in 2024, India dispatched its vice president to the funeral. But now the Modi government is sending much lower-level representation to the multi-day state funeral for Ali Khamenei, who was assassinated by the U.S. and Israel. Khamenei was not only Iran’s spiritual leader but also its head of state.

The decision suggests that Modi’s tilt toward the aggressor states in the Iran war still persists. By avoiding higher-level representation, New Delhi appears intent on not antagonizing Washington and Tel Aviv.

The government would argue that it is calibrating its representation to honor India’s historical and strategic relationship with Iran as a maritime neighbor while avoiding a high-profile political gesture that could complicate ties with Washington and Tel Aviv. Critics, however, will see the decision as evidence that India is allowing the U.S. and Israel to influence its Iran policy.

Israel Deliberately Killed Palestinian Children & Destroyed Their Childhood, Committed War Crimes : UN Inquiry Commission.
As per the report, more than 20,000 Palestinian children have been killed and over 44,000 injured since Oct 7, 2023.
The Commission is chaired by Dr. S Muralidhar, former High Court Chief Justice who is presently a Senior Advocate at the Supreme Court of India.

1) What do the police verify before granting a passport?

2) Does our country give passports as travel documents to non Indians as well?

The distance between Makkah and Madinah is about 450 km. That means if you were driving at a continuous speed of 80 km per hour, you would arrive in approximately 5 hours.

Imagine, O believer, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ traveled half of this distance riding on camels and half of it walking on his own feet, for eight days, accompanied by Abū Bakr aṣ-Ṣiddīq رضي الله عنه, in extremely hot days and very cold nights.

Our Prophet ﷺ carried his belongings and burdens that even mountains could not bear, after leaving his home in haste under the cover of darkness, fleeing with his religion from Quraysh, who had firmly resolved to eliminate him ﷺ.

Why all this hardship, exhaustion, and suffering?

All of this was so that this religion might prevail, that the universe might be illuminated with the light of truth, pushing away the darkness of ignorance and jāhiliyyah, and so that believers might live in the light of faith.

May my soul and my family be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah.

O Allah, send prayers and peace upon our master Muhammad.🤲

Man Digs Up Sister’s Grave, Carries Skeleton to Bank to Withdraw ₹20,000

In a heartbreaking case from Odisha's Keonjhar district, 50-year-old tribal daily wager Jeetu Munda exhumed his sister Kalra’s grave three months after her death on Jan 26, 2026. He walked 3 km carrying her skeleton to the Maliposi branch of Odisha Grameen Bank to withdraw ₹20k from her account. Staff had repeatedly refused him, demanding the account holder appear “in person.” Unaware of death certificate rules, Jeetu took this desperate step. The bank has now cleared immediate release of funds to him as sole claimant.

Yesterday, the Bombay High Court discharged four men accused of carrying out the 2006 Malegaon Blasts. The accused all allegedly belonged to Abhinav Bharat. The explosions claimed 31 lives and injured 312. The blasts specifically targeted Muslims. Yet, maybe out of habit, the investigation agencies first arrested nine Muslims, who were eventually acquitted in 2016. In yesterday’s order, the High Court criticised the NIA for its botched investigation.

Is the NIA going to appeal the order before the Supreme Court? Highly unlikely. This is a betrayal of all the victims and their families. This will be yet another terror attack where we will not even see its perpetrators being punished. To be a Muslim in India is to only wait for justice.

This case has followed a similar trajectory to the 2008 blasts case. Rohini Salian, NIA’s prosecutor was on record saying that NIA asked her to go soft on the accused.
