👉 The Engine Killer: Forcing E20 into older, non compliant engines causes severe corrosion and mechanical breakdown. The government hits its target, but you pay the massive repair bills.

👉 Coercion Over Choice: A free market thrives on options. Instead of offering E20 as a choice at the pump, it is being shoved down our fuel tanks via a mandatory backdoor tax on efficiency.

Jio made a net profit of ₹30,000 crores last year, while Airtel made a net profit of ₹38,000 crores (approx).

A year before that, Jio had made a net profit of ₹26,000 crores, while Airtel had a net profit of ₹37,000 crores.

Let me remind you, these are the profits after all expenses and taxes. A total of ₹1.31 lakh crores in profit in just two years by both companies.

Still, they are planning to raise their recharge plan prices by 10-15%, even though they had increased prices last year too.

The govt needs to wake up and end this daylight robbery. It’s urgently needed to protect Indians by ending this duopoly through strengthening BSNL.

My neighbour is a cab driver in Mumbai. drives 14 hours a day. 6 days a week.

Last week heavy rain. he slipped on a wet platform. fractured his wrist.

Hospital bill came to 22000 rupees.

He has insurance through the aggregator app. he filed a claim. they rejected it. reason? he was not on a live trip when the accident happened. he was walking to his car after a drop off.

So the insurance only covers him when a passenger is inside the car. not when he is walking. not when he is eating. not when he is breathing.

He asked them to reconsider. they sent a generic email with a link to policy terms.

He is back on the road today with one hand. Because rent is due.

The energy density Ethanol is 26.8 MJ/kg, whereas Petrol is 46.4 MJ/kg. Which means theoretically, you need 1.74 litres of Ethanol to travel the same distance as with one litre of Petrol. If you think that mileage is going to be same with Ethanol and Petrol, you are mathematically unfit to stay in your position as Petroleum Minister. A school kid will do a better job than you.

You said "There is room for electric vehicles, biofuel blended vehicles, hybrid and CNG vehicles."

But there is room for Petrol vehicles. Provide us pure unleaded Petrol which was available before the greedy and uneducated lot took over India in 2014.

Just provide us pure Petrol first instead of Gadkari's alcohol. It's our right.

There is a press conference happening today on E20 b mly the expert group on behalf of the petroleum ministry.

I'm sure they won't be taking any questions. They will speak the same mumbo-jumbo : it's safe, energy security, lower crude import, more income to farmers, oil lobby, foreign hand blah blah and leave.

Even if they take question, no journalist will be smart enough to ask the real questions:

1. Why rolled out E20 when most of the vechiles weren't compliant.

2. Who will be responsible for wear and tear of non compliant cars. You'll say there are no reports world over for damage but that's because nowhere in the world have they introduced E20 without making sure that older vehicles have phased out and even then they kept the option of pure petrol for those few left with older cars. Ethanol corrodes non compliant cars. It's a known scientific fact. Why else would there is complaint cars if non compliant cars were as safe?

3. It was told ethanol blended fuel will be cheaper but it's costly than even erstwhile pure petrol because of mileage drop. People are buying more fuel for same useage.
