@InfiniteJulian0 the interesting bit is realizing motivation was the real product, not study efficiency. curious how you’ll carry that insight into something built around agency.
AI SDR dashboard: “12 meetings booked.”
Sales: “11 students and a vendor.”
Marketing: “Pipeline!”
RevOps: “None match the ICP.”
Congrats: you didn’t automate prospecting. You gave spam a calendar link and a KPI.
@notesbylouis curious: what sales problem do you keep seeing that still has a duct-tape solution? might be the thread worth pulling. follow me, I follow active builders back
The attribution dashboard says the webinar influenced $2M in pipeline. Sales asks which attendees to call. Marketing opens column AZ and says, “The ones with intent.” Everyone nods because “we have no idea” isn’t an accepted lead stage.
@CodeFurioso i’m building KobotAI, a commerce OS helping African businesses sell faster with AI agents, with a bigger vision of helping them access finance to grow. https://t.co/9nQKU18cBP
@hthieblot the overlooked bit is all those hours in forums talking to users. distribution was part of the product from day one. follow me, I follow active builders back
An AI SDR congratulated a prospect on a funding round, pitched the company he left 8 months ago, then scored “wrong person” as high intent.
Great automation: bad sales intelligence at machine speed.
Marketing changed “Book a demo” to “See it in action” and called it a conversion strategy. The homepage still says “AI-powered end-to-end transformation platform.”
The CTA isn’t the bottleneck. The product is in witness protection.
Founder: “We need more visibility.”
Marketing posts 47 feature updates.
Sales sends 800 cold emails.
Buyer: “What do you actually do?”
You’re not invisible. You’re dressed as a changelog. Your ICP is looking for a solution, not release notes.
Marketing spent 6 weeks naming a new category. Sales spent 6 minutes changing it to “the thing that replaces spreadsheets” on every call. Pipeline improved. Somewhere, a positioning deck updated its LinkedIn status to Open to Work.
A rep gets 14 “high-intent” alerts:
CEO changed jobs.
Someone opened the pricing page.
Company hired a RevOps analyst.
By noon, all 14 are in a sequence.
Sales intelligence without signal validation is just spam wearing a lab coat.
AI SDR eval:
It booked a competitor, an intern, three vendors, and the VP of Sales testing the form.
The dashboard called this “pipeline generated.”
Your model doesn’t need a smarter prompt. Your KPI needs adult supervision.
Marketing attribution is a group project where everyone writes their name on the same deal. The webinar “sourced” it. The ebook “influenced” it. The AI chatbot “accelerated” it. Meanwhile, the buyer says: “My old boss told me to call you.”
@nicobuildss@X Follower growth is a signal, but eight themes can blur which promise resonates. Have you checked whether marketing or AI posts drive more profile visits and qualified conversations than the broader topics?
@hakkazuu Shipping is a useful filter, but it can over-index on output. Could builders also share who the buyer is, how they reach them, and what they learned after launch? That surfaces customer insight, not just release volume.
