@KingKong9888 @captainpooby i only moved a portion of my etrade account so i had aboutk the same $ assets at both. but my schwab “total equity” is now 4x what i have at etrade, just based on appreciation due to the higher margin % (tho i’m gradually weaning myself off it!)

@KingKong9888 @captainpooby i also had to switch to schwab a couple of years ago. etrade didn’t like a couple of big positions i had and suddenly raised them to 100% margin requirement. schwab gave me a portfolio margin account so this wouldn’t happen again. best thing that ever happened to me.

the big issue here--that nobody is addressing--is that the gap between the election in november and the inaugration in january is WAY TOO LONG. yes there should be a handover--even tho they've been done horribly badly every time😥
but it should take 4 weeks not 2 1/2 months.
